Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori paints goldfish that appear to pop out of the surroundings they are painted in. Using a meticulous layering process, he paints an object and sandwiches more painting between layers of poured resin. Bringing hand painted fish to a 3D optical illusion. The result is beyond words.

A Video put together for him for his show at the ICN gallery in London, check this.

Here is another album I have been keeping on heavy rotation. Ungoliant – No more the world of man. A solid 5 track 45 minute melody of mayhem.
The band hails from Sacramento, CA. They are what you would call sludge or stoner metal. I have been into this sort of Hesh since a friend from Seattle turned me onto bands like Sleep, Eyehategod, Noothgrush, and Suffocation a long whole ago. The band was formed by the artist Skinner so if you are familiar with his artwork you know their heads are in the right place. I often imagine these songs as a sort of soundtrack to some of his paintings.
Check out their bandcamp for the $5 download, well worth it.

Music to work to…
Here is a flyer I put together for a Show in LA I was invited to be a part of on Friday the 13th 2012. I will be flying out to attend the party and get to see some good friends for the weekend. Been busy working too much, but I should have a bunch of new things to put up soon.
A painting I did this last summer. This is on wood, its approx 2 inches tall. The entire side panel running around the entire piece has collaged newspaper from the early 1900′s when the steam plant was built in Spokane, WA.
Here are a couple recent designs I did for some friends. Both will be T-shirt prints, and maybe flat stock prints as well.
